Job Description

Quality Manager vacancy with a growing automotive manufacturer in Bradford. With continued year on year growth the business is looking to grow their management team with the introduction of a Quality Manager position to support future growth plans for 2024and beyond.Client DetailsMichael Page Engineering & Manufacturing are working exclusively with a highly successful Keighley based business who manufacture and supply an exceptional range of automotive products to a large customer base, both across the UK and internationally.Having experienced impressive growth in recent years, they are now looking to expand their leadership team to accommodate future development plans.DescriptionThe Quality Manager will report directly into the Managing Director and will have overall accountability for all quality activities on site.The main priorities of this role are:

  • Improving existing quality processes and procedures to ensure they are fit for purpose, bearing in mind the business growth
  • Managing and maintaining the companys IATF16949 compliance, as well as ISO9001 and ISO14001
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, customers and suppliers to ensure all quality standards are met
  • Creating document control and reports on relevant KPIs
  • Reviewing FMEA/control plans and updating these as required
ProfileSuccessful candidates will have a strong automotive manufacturing background and a proven ability in improving quality. You will also possess:
  • Sound knowledge of quality tools and techniques (including FMEA, APQP, PPAP, 8D etc.)
  • Full understanding of automotive & OEM customer specific requirements
  • A data-driven and continuous improvement mindset, with an understanding of lean principles
  • An innovative and customer focussed approach
  • This role will involve occasional overseas travel to China and so suitable applicants must be prepared for this
