Job Description

JHE & Partners are delighted to be working exclusively with a local business in Keighley, who are looking to recruit a purchase ledger clerk on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced ledger clerk to oversee the ledger in itsentirety, taking the reins from a long-standing employee who is due to retire.Working in a team of five and reporting into the financial controller, you will form strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You will ensure all suppliers are paid to agreed timescales, working as part of a cohesive finance team,providing knowledge, experience and support across the board. Ideally, you will be someone who can think outside the box, have the confidence to speak up to improve processes with the overall aim or working in a paperless environment. This is a superb, enviablebusiness with a long-standing history, leading the way in their field.Duties include:

  • Update the cashbook with bank transactions
  • Print invoices, batch and code
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Update cashflow forecast
  • Reconcile PL payments onto system
  • Complete monthly payment run
  • Reconcile bank statements to trial balance
  • Updating spreadsheets on Excel
  • Working closely with wider finance team, FC and FD
This is a great opportunity for an experienced ledger clerk looking for a new opportunity with a reputable Keighley business. Salary on offer will pay in the region of £28,000 with an excellent pension contribution on offer. Holidays are 25 + bank, withdiscretionary bonus on offer.
