Job Description

Axon Moore are recruiting an exciting role for a well-establishedand growing business basedinKearsley. My client is seekingan Accounts Assistantto join the team on a permanent basis.Reporting into theFinanceManager, the role will incorporatevaried duties covering sales ledger, purchase ledger and general accounting duties.You will work alongside the wider accounts team to ensure accurate posting and recording oftransactions. We arelooking for someone who is keen to develop in the role and add value to the wider accounts team.Duties:

  • Raising salesinvoicesandsending to clients as per company guidelines
  • Checking for and investigating discrepancies on invoicesand posting in a timely manner
  • Cash allocation
  • VAT posting
  • Assisting with the management of insurance claims/paperwork, liaising with the Finance Director
  • Allocating payments
  • Answering the phone and dealing with queries, directing them to the relevant person.
  • Assisting with PL during busy periods such as month end
  • Reportingon credit risk to ensure the risk is managed effectively
  • Other ad-hoc accounts admin dutiesas requested
Person requirement
  • Previous experience withinand Accounts Assistant position
  • Fully competent with MS Word, Excel and accounting systems
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic, able to manage deadlines and workloads effectively
  • Ability to work in a focused mannerand deal with a high volume of transactions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Committed to business success and supporting fellow employees
