Job Description

Opportunity for a maintenance technician to join one of the fastest-growing manufacturing companies in South Wales. The company have recently relocated into a new manufacturing facility and are now looking to strengthen their maintenance team to enable them to meet their targets to continue the growth they have been experiencing in recent years.The role will involve working a 2 shift pattern (days 6am-2pm and afternoons 2pm-10pm). As part of a technical team onsite looking after predominantly the manufacturing equipment. You will undertake reactive maintenance, assist in the delivery of the PPM system and be involved in installation projects.As the maintenance technician your duties will include:

  • Fault diagnosis and repair of manufacturing equipment
  • Planned and reactive maintenance on all assembly and test equipment
  • Fault finding and repair of test jigs
  • Providing support to the engineering team relating to new product introductions
  • To apply for the maintenance technician role, you will need:
  • Time served apprenticeship within a manufacturing environment (preferably Mechatronics or Electrical/Electronics Engineering)
  • Good multi-skilled maintenance knowledge - electrical bias but able to undertake mechanical maintenance on pneumatics, etc.
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment - ideally electronics, semi-conductor, medical device, etc.
  • PLC fault finding ability
  • Experience of assisting in the delivery of a PPM system
