Job Description

Job title: UPS Field TechnicianRole: PermanentLocation: 2 Positions -*North of England*London & South of EnglandOur client has been a solutions provider for over 30 years and are looking for a UPS Field Service Technician. You will be responsible for all aspects of Uninterruptable Power Supplies, from Installation, DC building, to PPM and Remedial works .*The North of England UPS Field Technician will cover a geographical area, encompassing Leeds to Newcastle and along the M62 corridor. Accessible from Yorkshire, Sheffield, Nottingham, Manchester etc.*The London & South of England UPS Field Technician will cover a geographical area, encompassing London and the South. Accessible from Slough, Farnborough, Reading, Essex etc.You will be enthusiastic with a can-do attitude, and the company will provide first class product training to ensure you can provide the highest level of service to their clients, this is an excellent opportunity to join an established global UninterruptablePower Supply business, as part of a growing UK subsidiary.You will be joining the UPS Field Technician team, to cover your designated region based from home, and reporting to Head Office . Your day starts when you leave the door and finishes when you arrive home. You will be provided; a company van (for work use),company credit card, corporate clothing, PPE, and tools issued including mobile phone and laptopAs a UPS Field Technician you will be required to:

  • Travel to various client sites
  • Carry out installation, commissioning, PPM, and maintenance
  • Projects work involving installation of new equipment, commissioning, and replacement of end-of-life products.
  • Service work primarily PPM along with remedial and repairs.
  • Completing relevant paperwork, and job reports
  • Callout 1 in 5 weeks.
The UPS Field Technician should have the following competencies or experience:
      Relevant Electrical / Electronic qualifications
A technical electrical engineering qualification, Apprentice trained, HNC, HND or Degree would be advantageous.DC / AC / UPS systems experienceBattery replacement testing experiencePower system knowledge (or similar UPS, Battery Technology etc)Good attention to detail, and a strong and clear communicatorFull, Clean UK driving LicenseThis is an excellent opportunity for an UPS Field Technician, with previous knowledge/experience and a can-do attitude for long term opportunities. In return the company will provide you with:
      Salary dependent on experience.
Excellent overtime rates with door to door pay (all travel at full rate/overtime)
