Job Description

My client, a global FMCG organisation, is recruiting a Senior Category Manager to play a lead role in driving the category relationship and agenda with two of their largest grocery accounts.The OrganisationA market leader within their category, they own some instantly recognisable house-hold brands and had a very successful 2020. They are highly collaborative and ambitious in nature and welcome new ideas that challenge the status quo.The RoleReporting into the head of category, youll be responsible for shaping and executing strategy within two key grocery accounts whilst adding real value and capability to the rest of the category team.Key responsibilities include:

  • Own and develop category customer relationships, leading category reviews and shaping strategy
  • Identify and grow category capabilities that help upskill the rest of the team
  • Add a high quality contribution in shaping the category & POP vision for the business, leading on key strategic elements
  • Make gains and optimise space, range and merchandising
  • Partner with marketing to ensure brand strategy and activation are maximised to provide category growth

  • You will have a strong background within FMCG category management with a history of managing at least one major grocer account.
  • You will be self-motivated and authoritative in nature with demonstrable experience of making things happen (within a small or a larger FMCG business)
  • Be prepared to challenge the status quo and bring fresh ideas to the table
  • Will have a fantastic story-telling ability
