Job Description

Learning Support AssistantAttention all Learning Support Assistants! A fantastic opportunity has arisen in Iver for an experienced professional to join a dedicated team of educators. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to support children with special educationalneeds.The Learning Support Assistant will be responsible for providing support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom setting. This will include working closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualisededucation plans, as well as providing one-on-one support to students as needed. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of different types of SEN, as well as the strategies and accommodations that can be used to support students with theseneeds.Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting teachers with the planning and delivery of lessons, including preparing materials and resources.
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with SEN as needed.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Collaborating with other support staff, such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience working with children with SEN.
  • A strong understanding of different types of SEN and the strategies and accommodations that can be used to support students with these needs.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to work independently and take initiative.
