Job Description

Panificio Italiano is an independent bakery in Iver, Buckinghamshire. It is a new state of art purpose built automated bakery. We bake quality products ranging from traditional recipes to new speciality breads.Job Title: Hygiene OperativeReporting to: Hygiene ManagerJob Purpose: to ensure all aspects of the day-to-day cleaning of Panificio Italiano are maintained and in line with the Health and Safety controls onsite.Responsibilities and DutiesDuties would include, but are not limited to:

  • Carrying out scheduled daily cleaning tasks.
  • Cleaning of processing equipment and production lines meet required standards, measured through testing of samples.
  • Deep cleaning of production areas, ancillary areas, and staff offices.
  • Ensuring that all paperwork is correctly completed.
  • Making sure that everything you do complies with Panificio Italianos procedures for Health and Safety and Hygiene.
  • Ensuring that your cleaning, and personal protective equipment are functioning correctly at all times.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure of time.
  • Reporting any incidents or environmental concerns to your line manager.
  • Reporting sight of any pests to your supervisor or Line manager.
  • Any other task as deemed necessary directed by Supervisor/Line Manager.
Requirements and Critical skills
  • Proven working experience as a Hygiene Operative.
  • Good level of English with good communication skills.
  • Good organisational, time management skills.
  • Good team player but able to work individually.
  • Be aware of Company standards, expectations and treat others with dignity and respect.
  • Must possess a positive and professional attitude.
  • Highly responsible and reliable.
  • Expected to work across a variety of environments and you will be provided with PPE.
  • The role is ideal for someone with a high degree of self-motivation and initiative.
What can I expect
  • You will be working 6 days a week, between Monday to Sunday. The shift times will vary on a weekly basis, you can expect to work 48 hours a week.
  • The team is small but will need to be highly efficient to get the job done, so you can expect many demands on your time.
