Job Description

Quality Assurance Team LeaderStart date: ASAPSalary: £27-£32kLocation: Near ElyHours:Wednesday: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm and Thursday to Saturday: 6:00 am – 6:00 pmWorking for a family run food manufacturer based near Ely, this role as a QA Team Leader will play a vital role in ensuring product safety, legality, and quality.Responsibilities include:

Utilize the QMS to uphold product safety, legality, and quality standards.
Foster a food safety and quality culture throughout the team and wider business.
Act as a key member of the HACCP Team.
Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and legality requirements.
Participate in operational policy and procedure reviews.
Collect data for KPIs and trend analysis.
Manage pesticide and microbiological testing.
Attend site meetings and provide insights for improvement.
Manage customer complaint resolution.
Maintain all specifications and update the ERP system.
Handle sample requests efficiently.
Drive the team to follow policies, procedures, and adopt a customer-first culture.
Conduct investigations and disciplinary hearings, if necessary.

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year in a QA role within a fresh produce environment.
Basic computer literacy.
HACCP Level 1 certification (Level 2 desirable).
Good numeracy skills.
