Job Description

Our client, a professional audio equipment manufacturer within the broadcast industry are seeking a full-time Embedded Software Engineer for their R&D department. You will be responsible for the full cycle product development and customer support for bugfixing and fault finding. Proven industry experience and a relevant degree qualification are essential.Essential Skills and Experience:• Relevant degree-level qualification• 5+ years industrial software development experience (C, C++, assembly)• Embedded programming and debugging for ARM Cortex microcontrollers and processors• Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP)• Embedded Linux application development• Bare metal software development• Web UI development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)• Ability to work autonomously• Excellent problem-solving skillsDesirable Skills:• Professional audio product development• Audio DSP fundamentals• Knowledge of Linux kernel• RTOS application development• Digital electronics• FPGA development (Verilog)• Knowledge of IEEE1588 (PTP) and audio over IP protocolsThis position will be based fully on-site in their offices in the East Midlands.
