  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the national curriculum, catering to the diverse needs of students.
  • Teach English language and literature to secondary school students, using effective instructional strategies to facilitate learning and promote critical thinking.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and respect for others.
  • Assess student performance through various formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback and guidance to facilitate academic progress.
  • Monitor and track student progress, identifying areas of improvement and implementing appropriate interventions as necessary.
  • Foster a love for reading and writing among students, encouraging creativity and enhancing their communication skills.
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in English, Education, or a related field. A relevant postgraduate qualification is desirable.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level, with a solid understanding of the UK national curriculum.
  • Passion for the English language, literature, and a strong commitment to student learning and development.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student engagement and academic success.
  • Proficient in integrating technology into teaching practices.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a growth mindset to respond to the needs of a diverse student population.
