Please visits trive . co . uk for additional roles across engineering, production, warehouse & transport operations.CNC Machinist (Operate, Set & Program) Competitive Pay + Benefits + Prospects East Manchester Our client is a Global supplier with sites across UK and Europe, and we are delighted to assist them in further strengthening their Engineering team as they look to recruit a CNC Machinist at their site in East Manchester.This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC professional to work in a state-of-the-art facility with a real pathway for development and progression.The Role of CNC Machinist:

  • Responsibility of programming, setting and operating multi-axis CNC lathes and milling machines using a variety of materials.
  • Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to health and safety procedures and regulations.
  • To carry out any additional work as reasonably requested by your line manager.
  • Maintains continuity of jobs in department by properly documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs on job cards, timesheets and/or SAP systems
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality logs and/or timesheets.
About you:
  • Able to demonstrate engineering knowledge.
  • Experience in operating mill or turning CNC1.
  • Experience in operating Fanuc control XYZCB Axis.
  • Experience of using mics and other measurement equipment to check first off.
  • Time served apprenticeship
  • CMM experience would be an advantage
  • Ideally HNC/HND in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
