Job Description

We are currently seeking a Seafreight Import Operator for our client based in Ipswich, who specialise in Freight Forwarding. This is a hybrid role, working 3 days in the office.Your role as the Seafreight Import Operator will involve liaising with overseas agents / customers / hauliers, controlling all aspects of Seafreight imports from start to finish and everything in between.You will be arranging deliveries / releases andquoting clients for shipments.Duties of the Seafreight Import Operator continued:

  • Control all Seafreight Import activities on a start to finish basis.
  • Ensure all Consignments are loaded onto computer system prior to arrival / departure.
  • Keep customers fully informed of anything which may cause delay to a shipment.
  • Develop constructive relationships with key customers and key supplier.
  • Liaising with customers, dealing with all follow-ups
  • Invoicing shipments and collecting payments
