Job Description

Role – Process Manufacturing Engineer Location – Ipswich, SuffolkSalary – circa. £45,000 DOEAn opportunity to join a global leading manufacturer who are rapidly expanding their manufacturing function in Ipswich!If you have a strong manufacturing background in Electronics, Material Science or Physics and the ability to affect positive development of manufacturing processes this must be the role for you.The successful person requires,

  • Degree qualified within an Engineering discipline, desirably within Electronics, Material Science or Physics
  • Knowledge of SPC and Six Sigma techniques, first response to out of control/spec events
  • Experience of knowledge of fab process including photolithography, wet etch, dry etch, CVD dep, metals and thinning would be desirable
  • Proven ability to work under own initiative with attention to detail and to stop when advice is required.
  • The role & responsibilities will include,
  • First point of contact for all process related issues, and working alongside equipment engineering to plan, procure and qualify new process equipment to meet the process capability requirements that are demanded by product and technology roadmaps
  • Use experience and knowledge to develop processes that are capable of meeting the product specification with high yields and low cost by employing design for manufacture
  • Support development of new device processes to meet product and technology roadmap requirements
  • Provide process documentation and training to other members of staff including other engineers and technician/operators
