Job Description

Facilities Services ApprenticeFull time, apprenticeship (up to 12 months)Are you looking to develop your career in Facilities Management We have an apprenticeship opportunity within our Facilities department. This 12 month apprenticeship will not only give you an Level 2 qualification but also on the job experience within abusy Facilities Department and plenty of exposure to give you the skills and experience to take your career to the next level.What an apprenticeship at MSC meansWe’ll support in giving you the tools you need to learn and develop whilst gaining a qualification and all-important vocational experience. This will give you the chance to collaborate with other departments and gain a wider understanding of working fora global company.In this time, you’ll be able to absorb our culture, network with others and develop yourself in a core area of our business.Skills and experience you’ll bring to usFirst and foremost, you will have a desire to pursue a career in Facilities Management. We’d like you to bring an open mind and desire to learn. You’ll be a good communicator, a good listener and have an ability to manage workloads and keep to tight deadlines.Minimum requirements also include:

  • Good Microsoft Office 365 skills (Excel & Word)
  • Maths A-Level / GCSE A-C or 9-4 under new grading system - essential
  • English A-Level / GCSE A-C or 9-4 under new grading system - essential
What you can expect The initial period of apprenticeship is for 12 months whilst completing the course, plus an additional 3 months spent on the completion of the End Point Assessments. You will spend 20% of your time doing off the job training which can include practical trainingsuch as shadowing, mentoring, teaching of theory and external study support. You will also be able to shadow other areas within the Facilities department which will give you an insight into different specialist areas.In the apprenticeship, you will also participate in:
  • Supporting the delivery of the responsibilities of the Facilities Services function
  • Address Facilities Management risks, hazards and threats to people, property and premises
  • Provide customer service excellence to both internal and external customers, ensuring the effective delivery of a full range of Facilities services
  • Support and delivery sustainable practices in Facilities Management
  • Maintain, deliver and support soft and hard Facilities Management Services
  • Ensure continuous improvement across the Facilities port-folio
  • Deliver best in class service for Front of House Services
  • Gain experience on how to maintain and develop Facilities Management competence across a multi-entity, multi-site business
  • Support the delivery of key Facilities Management projects
