Job Description

Design Technology Technician Location: Ipswich, SuffolkSalary: Grade 3 - Point 4: £21,189 per annumActual salary £10,792 (3 days) / £17,987 (full time)Job Type: Full Time / Part time (3 days)An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Design Technology Technician to join our clients community school. They are seeking a technician to provide support to their Design & Technology department.The Role:You should possess strong skills in maintaining workshop equipment and have a reasonable understanding of woodworking techniques. A methodical approach to workshop routines and ensuring a safe environment is crucial.Duties:

  • Conducting minor repairs in the workshops
  • Prepare lesson resources for all classes
  • Setting up and collecting equipment
  • Monitoring health and safety
  • Managing stock levels
  • Photocopying
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong Knowledge of 2D CAD/CAM
  • Experience in using laser cutters
  • Strong IT skills
