The role of the Engineer is to carry out all aspects of plant maintenance and repair to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the mills production and intake systems, in order to minimise downtime and deliver business objectives.Client DetailsAn independent milling business which has been supplying feed to the poultry industry for the past 50 years.Every day we work with talented, dedicated colleagues to produce sustainable, premium quality feed enabling our farming partners to achieve the highest standards of poultry and positively impact our health, communities, and the environment.DescriptionThe role of the Engineer is to carry out all aspects of plant maintenance and repair to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the mills production and intake systems, in order to minimise downtime and deliver business objectives.As an engineer you should be able to proactively carry out all aspects of plant maintenance to a plannedschedule, seeking solutions where abnormalities occur. This requires consistently liaising with the mill teamto address breakdowns or interruptions to production and dealing promptly with any issues, escalating wherenecessary. An essential aspect of the role is the initiative to drive continuous improvement, reviewing currentmethodology and opportunities to improve the mills efficiency, safety, quality, and performance.As part of your daily duties, you must ensure all relevant maintenance records are accurately recorded to ensurelegal compliance and to ensure a safe working environment. Whilst maintaining adequate engineering resourceof materials and equipment, effectively liaising with suppliers to meet the needs of the department.ProfileTo be successful in this role, the desired candidate should ideally have a qualification/apprenticeship in both mechanical and electrical fields and be at minimum 17th Edition certified.
