Project Engineer - Wigan

Monday - Friday 7.30 - 4.30pm with flexibility depending on the project
£42,000 to £45,000

The roleThis is an amazing opportunity to join Bakkavor Meals Wigan as a Project and Reliability Engineer with a focus on successfully delivering both capital and revenue engineering projects, and improving the reliability (uptime) of new and existing manufacturingassets at the Wigan site.Duties will include:

To identify and deliver improvement projects within the factory and engineering department
To Work closely, and liaise with, Factory and Site Services Engineering to ensure timely project delivery.
Manage projects effectively to deliver on time and within budget in accordance with agreed scopes, ensuring that engineering project work and requests are documented and tracked accurately and to a good standard.
Carry out comprehensive data analysis in key areas to support development of improvement plans and verify project success - good grasp of Microsoft Office is required.
Manage external contractors and communicate with suppliers to scope and deliver
Manage the sites CMMS and PM strategy within, to ensure compliance against internal and Customer Codes of Practice - professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors and refines an Asset Maintenance Plan that will include

Value-added preventive maintenance tasks
Effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems

Utilise Data analysis techniques that can include:

Statistical Process Control
Reliability modelling and prediction
Fault Tree Analysis
Six Sigma (6s) Methodology
Root-cause and Root-Cause Failure Analysis (RCA, RCFA)
Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)
Failure Mode and Effects Criticality Analysis (FMECA)

Focus on, and analyse, the costs of failure, which includes :-
- Costs of spare parts
- Equipment Repair
- Equipment Overhaul
- Engineering Personnel training
- Equipment Warranty

About you

Engineering background / qualification
Driven, Self-motivated, Systematic approach to problem resolution
Ability to influence others via data and work to specific deadlines
Flexible working attitude to ensure required work levels are achieved
Excellent communication, reporting and training skills
HNC or Degree in relevant Engineering Discipline (Electrical Bias preferred)
