Job Description

Job descriptionWe currently have a really exciting opportunity for an experienced sewing machinist to join a well established soft furnishings company in Ilkeston.Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday, 6:45am - 3:45pm
  • Friday, 6:45am - 11:45am
If the below sounds like you apply today!
  • A high degree of machining skills, including lockstitch, overlock, welting, twin needle and top stitch.
  • A strong eye for detail and quality with the ability to pattern match fabrics and ensure seam sizes are matched.
  • Previous experience of using a DURKOPP Adler machine or similar.
  • Previous experience of sewing upholstery including caravan seats, backrests, scatters and bolsters.
  • A strong machining background with a keen eye for detail.
  • Be flexible in their approach to work with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrate reliability and be able to work as part of a team.
  • Committed to achieving the targets of the department whilst working safely and in full compliance with the health and safety requirements of the department.
