We are looking to fill a new vacancy in our Wheat Hybrid Team.Responsibilities: Includes field work (dissections, scoring, sampling and harvest), seeds stock handling and drilling preparation. Glasshouse work (sowing, potting, crossing and harvesting) and supporting team activities.Post requires: Flexibility, positive attitude, willingness to learn, attention to detail, ability to prioritise and organise.Position: A perfect opportunity to get a first experience in practical plant breeding. Would suit an individual with A-levels/Degree or equivalent, in a science related subject and basic I.T skills. Previous agricultural/horticulturalexperience is preferable but not essential. Full training will be provided. Individual must have a full driving licence.The position is at our Ickleton site and is a permanent, full-time position with some weekend work and overtime required at seasonal peaks of the year.
