We are looking for a naturally caring individual with an enthusiasm for providing services to young adults with disabilities. We want people to join our team at our active and special day centre in Huyton, Knowsley. There are 2 full-time, permanent roles available, working 35 hours per week, 9 - 4pm Monday to Friday. There is also the possibility of a part-time role.As a Disability Support Worker, youll have a hands-on approach to caring for our young adults, working as part of a team to help our young adults gain more independence and have better opportunities to get involved within the local community. This is atruly rewarding role where youll play many parts within our young adults lives. Our website - www.yars.org.uk .Experience, within the disability sector is necessary. However, its important that youre a good listener who can communicate effectively and are keen to make a positive contribution to the lives of vulnerable young adults. We want someone who is motivatedand flexible, youll enjoy forming and developing professional relationships and we would expect at least a level 2 qualification in an associated field. Due to the nature of the role, you must be able to take part in the activities we do weekly with the youngadults such as attending the gym, swimming, playiong football etc. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9 - 4pm.
