(*qualifying periods apply) The Role - NPD Project Coordinator We are currently looking for an experienced NPD Project Coordinatorto join our Projectteam.The purpose of the role is to support the NPD / NPI teams in delivering new project samples and brand developments alongside supporting external product developments through to launch.Daily responsibilities include:

• Ensuring our vertical integration development strategies and targets are met.
• Co-ordinate multiple development projects across the business
• Create & share critical path information throughout the business
• Complete and manage the administrational & feasibility process for all new development projects
• Maintain overall project schedules and individual project management critical plans
• Ensure you have a strong understanding of all details and requirements for each new product development brief.
• Work collaboratively with the Manufacturing and Retail teams to achieve goals.
• Liaise with the Quality department to ensure the compliance elements of all developments are considered.
• Ensure the development plans and schedules are communicated following each meeting.
• Carry out market research and competitor analysis to track industry developments.
• Keep key stakeholders updated with progress and highlight critical issues.
• Help problem solve and react to critical issues as they occur.
• Perform a wide variety of administrative duties i.e. form completion, filing, emails and meeting notes
• Attend meetings with colleagues, take minutes and arrange meeting notes where necessary
• Assist in keeping projects on schedule and follow up where required
• Maintain a tidy and organised fabric sample room, to include component sample and their prices/ information

Skills needed We are looking for an experienced NPD Project Coordinator with the following skills, experience and attributes to be successful in this role:Skills:

• Proven project management skills are essential
• Intergrity and a strong commercial capability is essential
• Able to build strong relationships with Key Stakeholders and work collaboratively to facilitate delivery of overall business strategy is essential
• Working knowledge of furniture and textiles (manufacturing and application) is desirable
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable
• Experience in furniture/mattress and bed design/ development is desirable
• Understanding of furniture/ bedding compliance is desirable

Person Specification:

• A skilled and responsible project co-ordinator with a high level of attention and strong communication skills.
• Proficiency and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook/ Office 365.
• General knowledge of office management practices and procedures.
• To be able to work within time constraints to meet deadlines and able to complete several tasks concurrently
• To always work with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Be able to communicate effectively with other both written and verbally, to understand and convey information in a manner consistent with the job function.
