Huntingdonshire: Newly created opportunity for a finalist/ qualified CIMA / ACCA Management Accountant/ Business Partner. You will work in the head office for one of the regions fastest growing businesses and receive mentorship from an experienced and supportive manager.You will work closely with colleagues in a range of departments and enjoy developing your business-partnering skills.You will have the skills to deliver credible and timely management accounts packs and provide real time insight around costs, variances, profit, margin and overall business performance.The business is looking for someone with a solid background of core accounting skills and an individual with a natural drive and determination.It would suit an Assistant Management Accountant looking for a step up, or those with a little more experience from either an industry or varied practice back ground.Ideally you will have experience from a product environment such as manufacturing/ FMCG/ construction.This is a data-driven environment and good knowledge of Excel functions is also required.The business is launching new products and forecasting strong growth in the the next few years. It is an exciting time to be coming on board.Key Duties* Business partnering with key stakeholders & link to wider business* Production of the monthly management accounts pack for business units and cost centres* Delivering high quality accounts analysis, including variances and trends* Report and analysis of capital expenditure and intercompany processing.* Support wider finance team on best practices* Complete ad hoc analysis requests for the business unit stakeholders and operational boards* Monthly Reconciliation of key Balance sheets accounts* Process improvements & utilisation of Technology to simply/speed up procedures* Review cost analysis to identify cost reductions* Support annual audit processSuccess factors * Able to work closely with non-finance teams* Inquisitive nature to understand the causes of the numbers* A logical, and analytical approach - with attention to detail* Organised multi-tasker* A can-do attitude and hunger to succeed* Strong report production skills with clear communication of the results* Experience of working in a similar capacity within a multi-functional, high-volume business is desirable.* Strong IT skills, including medium/ advanced excel.
