This role would suit an existing Senior looking to realise their full potential working in an assistant manager role within a forward thinking and successful practice.We are ideally looking for a full time position, however we would consider a part time role.Duties and Responsibilities:- Preparation of audit plans, ensuring they appropriately address audit objectives- Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion including report writing to those charged with governance- Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives- Preparation of Limited Company statutory accounts and corporation tax computations- Preparation of larger sole-trader and partnership accounts- Preparing Tax and Capital Allowance computations- Dealing with general client queries- Supervising & developing more junior members of the team including reviewing of work- Ensuring accounting work is carried out to a high standard in line with the practises quality standards- Managing and monitoring progress of work and budgetsSkills:- ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience- High level of knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards and International Auditing Standards- Experience of working in a mixed audit and accounts role within a firm of Chartered /Chartered Certified Accountants is essential- Experience of managing a client portfolio- Knowledge of CCH/Sage/Xero/Quickbooks software will be an advantage- Team player with friendly, approachable and positive professional outlook- Ability to adapt to new advancements in technology- Strong organisational skills including decision making, time management, analytical skills, and prioritisation- Excellent communication skills - Self-driven, resilient and able to thrive in a pressurised environmentBenefits:- Up to £44,000 (Pro Rata) per annum, based on candidate skills and qualifications- Monday to Friday 9am to 5.10pm (36 hours per week - flexible)- Competitive holiday entitlement- Free Parking- Pension scheme entitlement to comply with auto enrolment- Internal progression and career development- Life insuranceThis job is easily commutable from Cambridge or Peterborough
