Job Description

Our client who is in the manufacturing sector is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join their inclusive and collaborative team in Hull. This full-time role offers an attractive salary of up to 35K and benefits package.As a Technical Support Engineer, you will report to the Information Systems Manager and work closely with the IS Technicians and IS Administrator. You will ensure a high-level infrastructure and end-user support is given to the business.In your first few weeks in this IS technical support role, you can expect to:

  • Fault-find and maintain servers, PCs, network infrastructure hardware and software (including laptops)
  • Ensure accurate recording of assets
  • Log details of reported Incidents and service requests
  • Monitor, update and escalate calls to ensure service levels are achieved
  • Ensure all IT activities, including relocating IS, telephone and office equipment
To apply for this role, you will need a working knowledge of Windows servers and O365, including managing and maintaining SharePoint and OneDrive. Additional requirements include:
  • Excellent timekeeping and communication skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative.
  • Microsoft scripting technologies including PowerShell, VBA, and VBScript.
  • Advanced Windows Server.
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft SQL (DBA and/or T-SQL).
  • Advanced knowledge of Citrix and/or Windows Terminal Services.
  • Back-end web-based technologies.
