Job Description

Senior Practice Accountant Location: Hull, HU3 6LDSalary: Circa £30K per annum, DOEContract: Full time, PermanentTaxAssist Accountants are an international network of accountants, crunching numbers is our speciality. Our team members represent our main asset and we support their success with training opportunities, personal development and career progression.About the Senior Practice Accountant role: Our Senior Accountant will be required to work flexibly, you will be able to your hand to most, if not all, accountancy practices.You will be working with a small and friendly team and you should have solid ambition to manage a small team.The key duties of the Senior Practice Accountant role are as follows:

  • Reviewing & Preparing Accounts for Companies & Unincorporated clients
  • Reviewing personal tax returns prepared by team members
  • Supporting partner with some management responsibilities
  • Reviewing some VAT work
  • Communicate and liaise verbally and in writing between clients/visitors/enquirers and staff and interpret and respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions
  • Manage, organise, establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public
  • Proportion of home working will be encouraged
  • Other duties consistent with the grade as directed.
    • Senior Practice Accountant - Skills and Experience:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ICAEW/IFA/CIOT/AAT) with Two or more years’ experience as an Accountant in practice. QBE would be considered for an outstanding candidate.

  • Corporate & Personal Taxation
  • Business Growth Strategies and Basic Tax Planning
  • Business Advisory Services
    • Skills required:
  • Strong IT & Automation Tools Skills including all MS-Office products

  • Time-Management and Planning Skills
    • Desirable Requirements
  • Specific knowledge of CCH, Quickbooks, Xero and other bookkeeping products
