Our client are currently looking for a number of skilled Project Design Engineers, both Senior and Junior level to join them and support their design and project delivery activities.The successful Project Design Engineers will be joining an established department that presents superb opportunity to progress professionally.Forming part of a project team working on multi-million value projects, you will manage design concerns, generating drawings in line with customer requirements, working collaboratively with surveying and project teams to effectively populate drawings and informationrequired in line with broader programme of works..Benefits: * The company offer a superb hybrid working arrangement with multiple office location available to their teams.* 25 days + bank holidays* Enhanced Pension* Enhanced Sickness policy* Company bonus Scheme* Salary Sacrifice SchemesRole & responsibilities of the Project Design Engineer:* Creating new designs using 2D & 3D CAD to support new projects.* Support technical department with design verification information - eg: FEA calculation or Stress calcs.* Generate bills of materials and fabrication / assembly information* Compiling reports summarising design decisions & verification* Liaising with customers by telephone and e-mail correspondence with regards to drawings and approvals where required* Senior team members will be expected to support junior colleagues in mentoring and training where appropriate.Experience required: * Minimum of 5 years Design experience using CAD experience ideally in heavy engineering or in fabrication* Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD packages (AutoCAD or Microstation, as well as experience in Solidworks or Solid Edge etc)* Educated ideally in Civil structural or Mechanical engineering* Preferably possess an understanding of CDM regulations* Experience drawing structural steelwork, or Civil Foundations would be an advantage* Experience from the power or rail industry would be an advantage but not essential.* Possesses knowledge of FEA / Stress strain and other engineering calculations* Experience of project led processesThis business are growing and offer superb opportunities to those joining as well as an enhanced benefits package, flexible working and a number of locations for office work to suit a healthy work life balance.Consortium Professional Recruitment Ltd are a professional level recruitment consultancy specialising in the delivery of high relevance recruitment services on behalf of our clients across the UK.
