A Senior Commercial Accountant opportunity has arisen within the finance team of one of Hulls best knownemployers. THE ROLE: The role supports and challenges the business; creating value by improving the quality of decisions and ensure that a chosen business strategy delivers the highest financial benefit at an acceptable level of risk.Reviewing month end explaining key variances, preparation of monthly forecasts, preparation of annual budget / 5-year plans, tracking of key capex projects and provide KPIs, provide support on all regulatory reports and queries.Efficiently support and challenge business performance and planning, budgeting & forecasting, assess commercial viability of investment decisions, articulate financial risks and opportunities and support post-investment appraisal of business initiatives.Provide forward-looking analysis to the business to identify issues and guide development, drive the development & implementation of priority projects, identifying continual improvement opportunities.Review and develop options / alternatives to improve business performance and bridge gaps between current and desired financial performance in support of the forecasting / planning process.A full job description is available.THE CANDIDATE:You will be a qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant ideally with previous experience in a commercial finance role, although the aptitude and understanding of the work involved is equally importantAn excellent communicator and negotiator with high levels of persuasion and influence, you enjoy interacting across a whole business, not just finance. You have high attention to detail and through sound analytical and investigative skills you are able to getto the crux of a problem and provide resolutionsA strong relationship builder you are able to pull together financial and commercial information for the benefit of the wider areas of the business.
