If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong knowledge of building merchants or the construction industry,this could be the perfect opportunity for you!Internal Sales Executive - Jewson Hull, HU7 0XUThis role will be working with Jewson, Hull as part of the STARK Group. We are a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe. We connect suppliers of heavy building materials with the professional craftsmen who build, renovate, and maintainthe cities of tomorrow.At STARK Group, we have a strong culture that is built on passionate and dedicated people who thrive in taking responsibility and challenging status quo. We are convinced that our continued success relies on the diverse skills, experiences, and backgroundsthat our employees bring to their everyday work.This is a permanent full-time position. You would be working at the branch Monday to Friday 8:00am-17:00pm and 8:00am-12:00pm every other Saturday.Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, driving sales, building strong and lasting relationships through excellent service and product knowledge
  • Respond to customer inquiries promptly, providing accurate information and guidance on our product range, pricing, availability, and delivery schedules
  • Identify customer needs and offer appropriate solutions, upselling and cross-selling products to maximize sales opportunities
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using our internal systems
  • Proactively follow up on quotations, leads, and sales opportunities to achieve sales targets
  • Collaborate with the external sales team to provide seamless customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new products, and competitor offerings to effectively position our products in the market
  • Actively contribute to sales meetings, sharing customer feedback, and suggesting improvements to enhance the sales process
  • Maintain accurate and organized customer records, including contact details, order history, and communication logs
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a sales role within the builders merchant industry or a related field is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of building materials, tools, and equipment used in the construction industry
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and understand their requirements
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
