Following a huge amount of capital investment in the company to support their continued journey of growth. Our client are looking for a Reliability Engineer to join the business and support them in delivering best in class products. The Reliability Engineer will work closely with both internal R&D and suppliers to support material selection as part of the NPD process as well as identify opportunities to improve existing products.This is a brilliant role in an expanding business and department, offering a rare chance to apply your technical and analytical faculties to a meaningful application, product line & company journey.As Reliability Engineer, you will have broad exposure to existing and new product development, you will engage across departments and be comfortable in both stand alone and team environments.As Reliability Engineer, key responsibilities will also include:* DFMEA and PFMEA activities* Close working with suppliers around validation programmes on components both in life and under consideration* Agreeing and monitoring key performance indicators and reviewing performance* Creating test rigs allowing for accelerated lifecycle testing.* Support improvements in NPI processes* Driving initiatives for Warranty reduction* Assist the NPI Design team with APQP Advanced Product Quality Planning.* Carry out formal risk assessments, safe working, safe appliances etc.The Reliability Engineer will have: * Experience in a similar Engineering role.* Strong background and experience in problem solving & testing.* Ideally proficient in Mathematical Modelling for reliability.* Strong and demonstrable team-working across departments* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work method instructions.* Experienced in supporting the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives.* A can-do approach, with the ability to work on their own initiative.The ideal candidate would also have* An Engineering Qualification* 6 Sigma/Automotive product evaluation & improvement techniques experience* Materials Science knowledge linked to metals, plastics, rubbers etc.This is an excellent opportunity within a progressive company offering rare opportunities to make a meaningful impact to a company with unrivalled progression opportunities in the long term.Consortium Professional Recruitment Ltd are a professional level recruitment consultancy specialising in the delivery of high relevance recruitment services on behalf of our clients across the UK.
