Laboratory Analyst / Microbiology TechnicianLocation Hull9 month temporary position to start mid Junepossible extension or potential to go permanent37 hours working weekOur client is a leading medical portfolio technology company specialising in surgical devices and wound care products and located in over 100 countries around the world. Seeking an enthusiastic professional with knowledge/experience of basic microbiology techniques e.g. culturing and serial dilutions and a Degree in microbiology or relevant scientific discipline is desirable.Role and responsibility includes:Responsible for the delivery of analytical activities that enable the AWC SBU to design and commercialise new products.As a testing expert, provide scientific, analytical and Quality Assurance input to enable the NPD team to successfully achieve challenging and time critical objectives and goals.75% - NPD Project Delivery - Supports the delivery of designated projects by providing scientific and analytical input including:-* Development and introduction of new test methods.* Testing of prototype samples including for product stability, product safety and transit.* Testing of competitor products to support the effective commercialisation of Smith and Nephew product portfolio.* Sourcing of external contract analysis providers* Compilation of reports as appropriate and recommendation of actions to the project team.10% - Quality Assurance - Contribute to the improvement of local systems and ways of working to ensure that the high quality of the work performed by the section is maintained.5% - Technical Coaching - Provide coaching and training to ensure that learning is passed on to other members of the team.5% - Health and Safety - To apply high standards of occupational Health & Safety in the workplace to comply with company policy and procedures.5% - Regulatory Compliance - To perform all activities in compliance with relevant GMP and Quality System standards and specifically with FDA Quality System Regulation and ISO 13485.If you are interested and feel you have the right skills then please apply to this role.Gi Group Pharmaceuticals provides a tailored Account Managed Service and dedicated Pharmaceutical recruitment team and partners with many different Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology clients throughout the globe and the United Kingdom.Gi Group Holdings Recruitment Limited group of companies includes Gi Recruitment Limited, Draefern Limited, Gi Group Recruitment Ltd, INTOO (UK) Limited, Marks Sattin (UK) Limited, TACK TMI UK Limited and Grafton Professional Staffing Limited.
