Job Description

IT Implementation Engineer - Hull - £38,000 to £45,000Principal IT are working with a public safety business that support the emergency services across the UK. They are currently on the lookout for an IT Implementation Engineer to join them on a permanent basis.Our client is looking for someone who lives and breads IT, if youre someone who wants to learn and develop new skills then this is the role for you. In this role you will become a product implementation expert on Cortex ICCS products and other designedby our client in house.Roles and Responsibilities

  • Installing/configuring Windows server/SQL database infrastructure onto Virtual hosts prior to installation
  • Providing consultancy to build, install, configure and system test Cortex solutions
  • Carrying out implementation activities in accordance with the overall project plan and individual work packages.
  • Internal Project-related activities as directed by the Project manager or Delivery manager, including supporting Development, Client Services, and SQA activities as required
  • Maintaining effective working relationships with customers and partners
  • Effective and timely liaison with the Project Manager to ensure implementations are to specified scope and budget.
  • Assisting with the scoping and costing of customer solutions as required
  • Working closely with the IT support desk to feedback site updates, planned Maintenance & support queries
  • Excellent communication skills for inspiring the teams
  • Keeping up to date with new technologies and products
  • Travel in UK and potentially overseas as project needs demand
Essential Skills:
  • A huge passion for IT and technology.
  • Experience in a similar IT Support role is essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of IT products including Microsoft Windows Server, Core Infrastructure Server Hardware, Virtualisation, Exchange/Office 365, Azure, Security Solutions (Anti-Virus, Firewalls etc.),
  • Active Directory
  • DNS - Configuration / Management
  • DHCP - Configuration / Management
  • Serve 2016/2019 Installations / Configuration / Management / Support (Including Patching)
  • SQL Server
Desirable Skills:
  • MCSA and/or MCSE Certification
  • MCP Certification
  • CCNA Certification
  • PEN Testing - Preparations and Remedial Work
  • Data Migration
  • Experience of Public Safety/Emergency Services Sector Operations and Solutions
Further Details:
  • This role does involve nights away, all expenses covered by the business
  • In order to be considered for this role you must have a driving license
  • You must of lived in the UK for the last 5 years
  • You must be able to government security check
  • This role does require training for the companies products, this will take between 6 to 9 months
