Our client are looking for a Passionate Health & Safety Specialist to join the company and lead the continuous improvement of their Safety process and policies.As Health & Safety Specialist, you will join an established HSEQ function and lead the safety considerations for a large-scale process plant within the region.As Health & Safety Specialist, you will be given responsibility of assessing the current company operations and developing the long-term strategy to take the sites operations forward in line with best practice.The Health & Safety Specialist role:* Ensuring all teams across the business are working in compliance with statutory regulations* Aligning and Reporting on KPI performance* Support incident investigations* Internal and external audits and investigations* Promote behavioural safety though training, toolbox talks, auditing, task observations and near miss reporting etc* Conduct plant H&S Inspections* Drive the ongoing development of a positive safety culture* Assist in the implementation of ISO45001* Develop and maintain risk assessments, material safety datasheets and COSHH Assessments* Support the specification of safety specific equipment like PPE* Manage the permit to work system, ensuring safety of contractors working on site in accordance with method statements and risk assessments.The Candidate The Ideal candidate will have:* NEBOSH Qualification* Experience in supporting culture development initiatives in relation to safety and a passion for your work* Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels* Strong experience of risk assessments, site inspections, report writing and contractor management.* Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment ideally heavy industry or COMAH sites would be advantageous.This company offer a superb culture enhanced by a world class ethos to their working methodologies.
