Integration SpecialistWith the continual growth of my client, there is an increasing need for systems integration, data transformation and transfer. Many existing systems are bespoke and have been developed over many years, connecting more traditional ERP, BI, EDI other data sources,alongside newer API based endpoints.The Integration Specialist will work alongside existing members of the team to design, develop and maintain these current and new integrations.The role presents an exciting opportunity for a self-driven and managed individual. They should be technically capable and understand systems and data integration along with the processes they serve and the holistic goals they need to achieve.With good experience across technologies, the Integration Specialist will need to be able to design integrations from the ground up and bring them into service using their own technical expertise, learning new skills and gaining an understanding of businessprocesses throughout.The Role* To lead system integrations from business requirement through to design, build and release* Redesign and migrate existing integrations to be resilient and scalable* Work with the wider business to understand and gather business requirements* Work closely and collaboratively with other members of the IT Team* Develop robust working methodologies and documentation* Maintain and monitor systems on an ongoing basisKey Skills* Strong technical skills - data integration, manipulation and transfer (see Technologies below)* Adaptable and flexible - learn/transfer skills and knowledge across platforms easily* Relational data, reporting, and BI experience* Strong analytical, problem solving and process analysis skills* Excellent oral and written communicator, able to talk to technical and non-technical colleagues* Ability to work across multiple concurrent projectsDesirable* Experience of the Kerridge Commercial Systems K8 ERP software (www.kerridgecs.com)* Knowledge of Builders Merchant operations and systemsTechnologiesPotential candidate should have used or be aware of many of the following:* Consumption of APIs - REST, SOAP* .NET framework programming (VB)* Modern javascript* SQL - queries, updates, stored procedures* Microsoft SQL SSIS* Data formats - XML / JSON / CSV* Microsoft Office (Excel Macros etc)It would be advantageous to have knowledge of:* VB / vbscript* Kerridge Commercial Systems K8 ERP Data Exchange (DX) toolset* MS AccessCurrent systems comprise of bespoke .NET code, SSIS packages, SQL server, bespoke file transfer and transformation code (vbs, .NET) and some legacy MS Access (vb), K8 ERP APIs, bulk data manipulation.Projects include reviewing all current systems for stability, scalability and resilience, with the potential for new platforms and tooling.
