Job Description

English TeacherSalary: M1- UP3 (Paid to scale)Start Date: May or ASAPLocation: Hull, East Riding of YorkshireAre you a passionate English Teacher looking to begin a new challenge Or a Newly Qualified Teacher looking to get started within the sectorGSL Education are currently looking for English Teacher to work in a long-term placement. Roles are suitable for Fully Qualified and Newly Qualified Teachers who are looking to complete their induction year. Jobs may become permanent forthe right candidates.About the School:

  • The school is a large comprehensive school with mixed genders aged 11 through to 18 years. Capacity of around 1169 students.
  • The school has a strong vision ‘to inspire and empower young people to make a positive difference today; ready for tomorrow’.
  • Part of a trust whose vision is shaping positive futures, throughout showing purpose and direction.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, mark & deliver English up to GCSE or A-level Standard.
  • Engage students to learn the subject and classroom manage.
  • Have excellent communication skills to liaise with school leaders, parents, carers or guardians and young people.
  • Have patience and the ability to adapt teaching style to meet the needs of individual students are valuable traits.
As a successful candidate:
  • Have at least six months of UK teaching experience.
  • Have an enhanced child workforce DBS certificate on the Update Service or are willing to process one through GSL Education. at your earliest convenience.
  • Will hold QTS or other UK recognised teaching qualification.
