Job Description

Senior Hygiene OperativeHull - HU4Permanent role£10.70 phHours 3pm - 12.30pm in the eveningAbout the company.Hider Food Imports Ltd is a family-owned business with a long history of supplying quality food products to customers including delis, cafés, farm shops and garden centres. Established in 1965, Hider foods has worked hard to gain its enviable reputation for outstanding customer service and wide product selection, which is second to none in the industry.Job Overview:To ensure all aspects of hygiene at Hider Foods is to the highest standard.Key Responsibilities / Duties or What you will be doing:

  • Cleaning all equipment and environments as dictated by the planner or business needs in conjunction with CIC and PRP audits.
  • Take the lead on deep cleaning of machinery and equipment throughout the month and sign off CICs where applicable and co-ordinate with any sub-contractors.
  • Ensure that all relevant issues raised by internal audits are actioned and signed off in a timely manner.
  • Report any pest activity or evidence of pest activity found during cleaning duties.
  • Operate in accordance with Health and Safety responsibilities and policies.
  • Take the lead in amending or updating the cleaning instructions.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleaning system.
  • Help the technical and production departments with other hygiene duties as required.
  • Complete all training required on Group Learner and ensure staff do the same.
  • Complete all paperwork as required in a timely manner and to a high standard.
  • Attend internal PRP and hygiene audits as required and report areas where improvements can be made
  • Ensure correct isolation of area and / or equipment before cleaning or entering areas.
  • Ensure correct PPE is worn at all times by all staff
  • Ensure you and your staff work around the production areas and employees in a safe and efficient manner when cleaning is required.
  • Prioritize workload based on risk, time and resource availability.
  • Make sure your team know what is required in terms of hygiene and cleaning plans for all areas of Hider Food Imports; Production; warehouse; offices; communal areas etc.
  • Arrange and attend regular meetings with team to maintain Hider Food standards.
  • To attend meetings as Hygiene representative when request and required.
  • Plan rotas and holiday for staff.

  • G.C.S.E Maths and English
  • High standard of literacy and numeracy.
  • Basic HACCP
  • Basic Food Hygiene
  • Basic IOSH
  • COSHH
