Heron Foodsoffers the opportunity to work within a friendly supportive environment with excellent development opportunities.As the Accounts Payable Team Leader, you will be an integral part of the overall finance team, ensuring strong controls, prompt and accurate payments, and good relations with our suppliers.You will lead and mentor a team of 9 who handle over 6,000 invoices per month. You will drive efficiencies and process changes including involvement in a project to implement an automated Purchase to Pay System. This role gives the successful candidate a direct opportunity to influence the way the business works.As our Accounts Payable Team Leader you will be a key project team member for the implementation of a new automated Purchase to Pay system. You will be building strong relationships with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure processes runssmoothly and reviewing process controls, improving where appropriate and monitoring the effectiveness. You will be responsible for the training and development of the Accounts Payable team, ensuring workflow is organised effectively amongst the team to ensuredeadlines are met.The successful Accounts Payable Team Leader applicant will have excellent leadership and mentoring skills with a hands-on approach; willing to get stuck in and resolve issues. You will have the ability to evaluate processes and the drive to implement changeand good communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.What we can offer you:
