Sayjo Recruitment Ltd are acting on behalf of a client to recruit a Toolroom Technician.Reporting to the Technical Team Leader, this is an important role within the business. The role is full time and permanent and offers the successful candidate an exciting career with a growing business which catch offer career progression.Job ObjectiveTo ensure that all tools are maintained and improved where required. To support production to ensure that products are manufactured in an efficient way and in line with all appropriate quality and safety standards. To take part in continuous improvementactivities to support the business in being more successful.Key Accountabilities To maintain tools and production equipment To correctly identify tooling issues and to work with other team members to resolve these when it looks as though a more serious problem might be developing To take part in improvement activities To behave in a manner that is safe and that promotes good manufacturing practice To work with team members to improve the effectiveness of the change-over processes.Essential Requirements To understand all health and safety rules To understand all quality rules To be able to maintain tooling and production equipment Experienced in setting and operating lathes, milling machines, surface grinders and other workshop equipment Experienced with CNC milling and turning using XYZ machines Power press and metal forming equipment To implement and understand TPM and improvement processes To liaise with visitors as necessaryDesirable Requirements Experience in maintaining press tools and rolling and forming tools To take part in the Health and Safety Committee or other representation roles as and when requiredWorking HoursStandard hours Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm with flexibility, 37.5 hours per week.
