Product Design EngineerHuddersfieldstart: April 2021 - December 2021 with possibility of extension£28.66 Umb - £22.64 PAYEAdvantage Resourcing are working in partnership with a large organisation specialising in power and energy to find a Product Engineer to work in their Huddersfield siteYou will be assisting a senior engineer on a project or lead a project yourself with tasks including design development, product testing and validation, problem solving, design reviews and DFMA (design for manufacturing and assembly). You will be assisting on multiple projects focused on turbine and compressor development. This includes development of new products, current product support and PPT (product preceding technology). This role involves cross-functional working with, among others, the Purchasing, Manufacturing and Finance departments.Job Summary:This product design focused position performs established technical tasks at the sub-system and/or component level for current and future products within a given business unit or corporate area. This involves work across many steps in the product life cycle. Because of the product Centered nature of this position, they are very often a central point of coordination and decision making between product line engineers, customer teams, systems engineers, purchasing, suppliers and manufacturing.Coordinates the development of design verification and system validation plans from a variety of inputs to identify failure modes while managing risk and relative priority; evaluates analytical and experimental test results following engineering principles to verify that products meet internal technical requirements and to validate that design solutions meet customer needs; produces recommendations with technical documentation to support product decisions.Key Responsibilities:
