Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join the client services team within our clients well-regarded Chartered Accountancy practice in HuddersfieldYou will be a crucial member of the team, responsible for efficiently managing payroll tasks, ensuring accuracy, and providing exemplary customer service. This role involves overseeing various aspects of payroll processing while maintaining strong clientrelationships and adhering to compliance requirements.Responsibilities:

  • Managing a diverse client portfolio and ensuring compliance with reporting deadlines.
  • Preparing payrolls on different frequencies accurately and efficiently.
  • Notifying clients promptly about any tax or pension liabilities.
  • Submitting essential documents to HMRC and pension providers promptly.
  • Collaborating closely with client managers to address issues and provide necessary support.
  • Developing and nurturing client relationships to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Ensuring deadlines are met consistently or communicating any delays promptly.
  • Identifying opportunities for additional services or enhancing client satisfaction.
  • Handling client queries effectively and liaising with external sources as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate and professional documentation, andupdating job progress in the system.
  • Completing timesheets accurately and on time to facilitate payroll processes.
  • Undertaking additional tasks as assigned by management to support team objectives.
  • Upholding a professional reputation with both clients and colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Must have practice experience
  • Proficiency in relevant payroll software such as Iris Payroll Manager and Sage Payroll.
  • Knowledge of pension schemes, CIS monthly returns, and related regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot payroll issues efficiently.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, and adaptability in the workplace.
  • Proactive approach to process improvement and willingness to contribute to team success.
