Fixed term Contract Dental Triage Nurse Our prestigious client urgently requires experienced dental triage nurses on a Fixed Term Contract to work in their booking centre in Bradley, Huddersfield, HD2. The positions are to start as soon as possible. Theservice operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year which will include Bank Holidays. All staff are expected to work on Bank Holidays should their shift fall on that day. Our client is looking to recruit cover between the following days/hours : Thursdays18:00to 22:00 Fixed Term Until 13.10.2024 Sundays07:00 to 13:00 Fixed Term Until 13.10.2024 Mondays07:00 to 11:00 Fixed Term Until 03.11.2024 Tuesdays08:30 to 13:00 Fixed Term Until 03.11.2024 Wednesdays07:30 to 13:00 Fixed Term Until 03.11.2024 Saturdays07:00to 11:00 Fixed Term Until 03.11.2024 Tuesdays09:30 to 12:30 Fixed term Until 06.12.2024 Wednesdays18:00 to 00:00 Fixed Term Until 06.12.2024 Thursdays18:00 to 00:00 Fixed Term Until 06.12.2024 £14.20 In Hours £15.20 Out of Hours PLEASE NOTE: You must not bein other full-time employment and there is also a minimum requirement of 20 hours per week for these positions. Additionally the above shifts can be combined, however the fixed Term End dates apply for each shift. As a Dental Triage Nurse, your duties willinclude: To respond to dental patient calls transferred from NHS 111 in a professional and timely manner, in line with all relevant protocols/procedures and key performance indicators for the service To provide evidence based clinical assessment, prioritisation,and advice over the telephone working within clinical capabilities and competencies and in line with the NHS Pathways Dental Module To identify those patients, appropriate to be booked into an urgent dental care appointment and prioritise need when bookinginto an appointment, taking into account patient circumstances/preferences as appropriate To ensure that patients are given correct information relating to exemption from payment of dental charges To ensure that patients who are not appropriate to be bookedinto an urgent dental care appointment are provided with relevant information regarding self-care and/or finding a regular dentist using the Directory of Services (DOS) and/or the NHS Choices website To strive to improve performance and quality as needed,in line with clinical governance and performance review policies/procedures Experience and skills required: Previous dental triage nurse experience is ESSENTIAL Current registry with the General Dental Council is ESSENTIAL Evidence is required Experience ofworking in a primary or secondary dental care setting is required Please note that all successful candidates will be subject to a DBS check (Criminal Records Check) and will need to provide references covering a 5-year period.
