Job Description

Claims Advisor - German SpeakingSalary: £30k+ DOELocation: Huddersfield, West YorkshireWe are currently representing a powerhouse in the logistics and transport industry, and they are looking to increase their team due to growth and opportunities arising within the business. Work as part of a professional team and get involved with an evergrowing industry where you can take on new responsibilities and become a key part of the team.The Key Duties of the Claims Advisor role:

  • Logging all motor insurance claims for the UK and Germany
  • Maintaining and updating the claims management database
  • Liaising with managers, Fleet Support and insurers to ensure accurate claim information is received and submitted
  • Dealing with queries with the insurance company until the claim is closed
  • Pursuing our Uninsured Loss Recovery (ULR) team to ensure that costs are recovered in a timely manner
  • Tracking costs to ensure that all recoverable items and expenditure are recovered by the ULR team
The Key Responsibilities of the Claims Advisor role:
  • Responsibility for tracking and recovering all costs related to insurance claims and using the Uninsured Loss Recovery (ULR) team to recover all of our costs in TP fault incidents
  • Responsibility for keeping the MID database up to date with all vehicle movements on and off the fleet as informed by Fleet and the Company Car Fleet Management company
  • Ability to adapt to workload and help the wider team as and when needed
What does the right candidate within a Claims Advisor role look like
  • Experience working in a motor claims management role (prefered)
  • High level of attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships both with internal teams and external customers
  • Ability to work as part of team and on own initiative
  • Proficiency in IT, particularly Microsoft Office packages
