Job Description

Part time AdministratorBarnsley£22,000.00 per annum (Pro rata)Depending on experience+ profit share bonus paid quarterlyPart-TimeMonday to Friday 09:30 - 15:0030 mins lunch break (working hours can be discussed)Company Overview:The role Administrator will be working for our client in the Commercial Vehicle Hire Industry, they are a family-run business which has been established for almost 70 years. They have 6 rental depots, with fully equipped, modern maintenance workshops inthe North and South of England, from these depots they operate in excess of 2000 vehicles (of which 1000 are above 3.5 tons).Role Overview:The role of Administrator will be suited to someone either looking for a change from their current admin role, that has an interest working in the commercial vehicle industry, or a more junior person who is looking for an opportunity to work in a commercialoffice environment for the first time. It is a very important and responsible position within the company; it will be varied, and you will be kept busy at all times. Detailed training will be provided in the use of all company software systems and associatedprocedures/processes. Your core responsibilities will be to provide Operational/Administration support for the depot and the sales team.Administrator Duties:

  • Answering the telephone
  • Assisting with recharge paperwork
  • Dealing with a variety of reports including on/off Hire, Insurance and Operator licence report
  • Creating Vehicle compliance packs for new hires
  • General administration duties as and when required
Required Skills:
  • Proficiency to an intermediate level with Microsoft packages, Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to multi-task and think on your feet
  • An excellent telephone manner coupled with confidence and a sense of humour
  • Ability to learn new procedures quickly and flexibility in your approach to adjust to the business needs
  • Understanding of the importance of teamwork and attention to detail
