Job Description

Role : HSE OfficerLocation : South YorkshireSalary : To be discussed upon applicationThe CompanyNicholas Associates Group is recruiting on behalf of a long-standing client for a HSE Officer, to join a committed and multi-disciplined team based in their manufacturing facility that has recently undergone a significant amount of investment.Main Purpose of a HSE Officer will includeTo develop the companys health and safety, environmental and logistics standards, systems, processes facilities and product engineering.Responsible and accountable for ownership and project management of all incidents and accident investigations through to implemented and proven preventative solutions, to minimise / prevent the risk of reoccurrence.Management of health and safety training, including manual handling, forklift and first aid training / updates / records.Main Tasks of a HSE Officer will be

  • Develop and maintain effective and comprehensive health and safety management standards and procedures in accordance with Health and safety management system BS EN18001. Audit and sustain compliance requirements.
  • Co ordinate and improve all health and safety and environmental practices and controls, including structuring and maintaining COSHH assessments, Risk assessments, Manual handling assessments, Accident reports, Near miss report investigation, RIDDOR, Fire risk assessments and maintenance of safety and environmental related equipment / plant etc.
  • Structured analysis, control and development of the logistics / stores and material handling methods, layout, equipment, process / work instructions and packaging specifications / supply conditions.
  • Qualifications & Experience of a HSE Officer·GCSE Maths and English or equivalent subjects essential·IOSH Safety Management qualification or equivalent essential·NEBOSH qualification or equivalent·Computer literacy to a high standard in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access·Previous experience within Health and Safety direct or indirect responsibilitiesFor further details please click apply or call Deborah Ashmore at Nicholas Associates Sheffield office
