Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Technician to work in the Houghton-le-Spring areaThe focus of the role is to carry out facilities maintenance tasks on factory buildings.This will include: -

  • Internal improvement actions including fabrication, re-layout of areas, etc.
  • Timely completion of works order requests to a high standard
  • Ensure compliance to required standards and regulations.
  • Liaison with & management of required contractors to support repair & improvement works (including contractor induction, PO process, etc.)
  • Deliver facilities requirements in line with budget expectations
  • Upkeep & general maintenance TPMs of all build & shipping pallets
  • Administration of purchase orders for facilities requirements, production tooling & housekeeping consumables
  • Support continuous improvement activities as required throughout the plant
  • Comply with all HSE practices & policies
  • Assist with weekly fire alarm & emergency light testing
  • General DIY including TV monitors , projectors & furniture installs.
  • General Maintenance tasks including plumbing , paint & decorating projects.
The ideal candidate will have 2 years facilities maintenance experience and be proficient with hardware tools and electrical equipment.
