WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOUDue to a period of growth and emergence of new markets, Westray Recruitment Group is seeking to recruit Time Served Fabricators for our client in the County Durham area. The role is recruiting Welder/Fabricators on a permanent basis who are able to pass a weldtest to coding standards of either ASME 9 or ISO9606 standards.This is a very exciting opportunity and the organisation in question has a very healthy order book. To confirm these are permanent roles at £30,000 per annum + overtimeTHE BUSINESSHaving had major investment recently the company in question are expanding their workforce. The company in question are an industry leader in the manufacturing of cryogenic tanks and they have built up a great reputation over their 37 years in business.THE ROLEReading and interpreting engineering blueprints.Constructing base templates if necessary.Measuring and marking out cutting and bending lines.Setting up metalwork machinery including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, brakes, and shears.Double-checking design specifications before commencing with cutting work.Fabricating and constructing metal components.Grinding and finishing completed products.Performing quality checks on completed products.Conforming with state and company safety regulations.Completing job reports.THE PERSONPrevious work experience as a metal fabricator.AWS certification and advanced welding experience.Advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures.Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.Proficiency with metal fabrication tools including shears, rollers, flame cutters, and drill presses.Advanced mathematical and engineering skills.Ability to lift and manipulate large metal objects.Ability to stand for long periods.THE PACKAGEThis is a permanent job from day one. The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8:15am -4:15pm and Friday 8:15am2:30pm. The role centres on a 37.5-hour week.The role pays £30,000 per annum.
