Technology Engineer - Infrastructure Technician - Leading Financial Services Organisation What were looking for: A professional contractor with a strong track record. A proactive self-starter with excellent hands-on troubleshooting skills who is able to identify problems and then offer and deliver appropriate solutions.An effective team player who can work effectively with others, as well as being self-motivated and able to operate independently with enthusiasm, adaptability, and with a willingness to learn.Working closely with the Technology Leader and other Technology Engineers, be instrumental in maintaining and developing the technology landscape.Experience of supporting the day-to-day operations within the service desk where required.You will be capable of prioritising & categorising workload, planning, and delivering projects.-You will contribute technical information and develop the IT knowledge base, be willing to share and coach others.-Have the ability to pick up new systems and environments quickly.-Have excellent communication skills and be able to engage with all stakeholders and build third-party relationships.-Be interested, aware, and enthusiastic about new technologies.-Have a good eye for detail, maintaining auditable records and processes within the Technology team.You will have the following skills:You will possess the relevant IT Support experience and qualifications such as Microsoft/Cisco certifications (MCSA, MCSE/CCNA, CCNP)-At least 2-3 years in an IT Infrastructure, Security, and support type role.-Experience with a Microsoft 365 deployment, specifically Exchange, SharePoint, MDM/Intune.-Experience in some or all of the following; ITIL Framework; Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery; IT Auditing; Release Management; Supplier Management-You will have a broad understanding and experience of major IT systems spanning some or all of the following; Networking; Telephony; Operating Systems; Application Servers; SAN and virtualisation technologies; Enterprise security, DLP, and Encryption technologies,Firewalls, and Mobile Devices.-You will also have a deep understanding with administrative knowledge of; Microsoft Windows Server 2012-2019; Windows 10 (Build 1709-20H2); Office 2016-2019/365; Microsoft 365 and Azure including all of its components; Active Directory; Group Policy; VMware(5.5-7.0); Microsoft SQL Server 2012-2019; Microsoft Exchange (on-prem and online) and networking components (TCP/IP, VPNs, LANs, WANs, VLANs, DNS/WINDS and DHCP)-You will have awareness of configuring switches, routers, and firewalls.-Experience in deploying and administering backup solutions both on-prem and online such as Veritas NetBackup and Veeam.-Proficient in Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, MS Visio, and Project are desirable.-You will have a Full UK Manual Driving Licence-Occasional travel to other UK offices on a rota basis with other members of the Technology TeamThis role is on a fixed-term contract basis of 12 months with the possibility of extension or to go permanent. The role is office based in Leeds.
