Job Description

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer - FacilitiesLeeds

  • Days 7am - 3:30pm
  • Permanent Position
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • 8% pension.

    • OverviewDue to a rapid increase in growth, McIver Knight Associates have partnered with, a highly successful market leader within the manufacturing sector to recruit a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Engineer. You will work a Monday to Friday days-based shift pattern with the occasional call out required and overtime on the weekends if available.Reporting to the Manufacturing Systems Team Leader. You will be responsible for the facilities aspects of the plant maintaining and supporting the effective smooth running of the Manufacturing Process, Building Services and Equipment.Main Tasks
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working within Facilities Management / Building Maintenance.
  • To have leadership qualities to support and drive team successes.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ensure competence with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Professional conduct when dealing with colleagues, visitors and contractors.
  • Eager to learn and advance skills and knowledge with willingness to attend training to attain relevant qualifications when required.
  • To have proactive involvement in new installations and alterations to plant.
  • Willingness to learn machine operations and assist with repairs.
  • Willingness to deal with all aspects of maintenance including, blocked toilets and spillages.
  • Required to be flexible with work hours to rectify breakdowns as priorities and demands dictate.
  • Drive to improve Quality and define root causes.
    • The ideal candidate:
  • BS7671 - 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Qualified or recent standard.
  • City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ equivalent in Electrical Installation Level 3.
  • IPAF 3a & 3b MEWP licence or willing to obtain qualification.
  • Experience in using BMS (BEMS) and lighting control systems.
  • Knowledge of legislation related to H&S, Environment and Building Regulations.
  • HVAC experience in Plumbing / Heating Systems / Ventilation.
