Job Description

Electrical Design EngineerLocation: LS18£34,304£40,927 (dependant on experience)We are recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer, as such this role provides a fantastic and challenging opportunity for a professional that specialises in electrical design and compliance work. The right candidate will work within a dynamic developmentteam to support with the development of the University estateMain duties:

  • To be responsible for all design and installation of electrical services in new and existing buildings
  • Preparation of full tender documents including specifications, preambles, estimations of costs
  • Production of electrical drawings using the latest version of AutoCad
  • Responsible for the management of an efficient and effective electrical planned/reactive/emergency maintenance service
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Supervise all electrical contracts, arranging letters of appointment, certificates of payment, pre contract and progress meetings, and management of project budget
Successful candidates will need the following:
  • City & Guilds 2396 Level 4 Award in the design and verification of electrical installations (C Course)
  • City & Guilds Requirements for Electrical Installations (2382)18th edition
  • Certificated to BS5266-1
  • Certificated to BS5839-1
  • Experience in designing and verifying electrical installations
