Job Description

Job Title: Admin AssistantBuilding ControlLocation: Based in Horsforth or BirstallSalary: £19,000 - £22,000 depending on experienceWhat we offer

Weve been shortlisted for the People Development Award atthe Yorkshire & Humber Constructing Excellence Awards two years in a rowThe RoleThe company currently has a position available for an Administrator based in Horsforth or Birstall.Candidates must have a confident and professional telephone manner, have administration experience in building control and be fully proficient in all forms of IT.The Administrator will be the first point of contact to new customers.Responsibilities Depending on experience the role will initially include:
  • Generating and issuing 28, 60 and 90 day letters to clients via the system and record all responses in the relevant file.
  • Generating and submitting Final Certificates to local authorities/clients
  • Chase up quotes via the automated system and record all responses archiving where required.
  • Processing fee payments - taking payments by card
  • General admin duties including filing, answering calls and taking messages
In due course the role will expand to include the following:
  • Processing new applications and submitting Initial Notices to local authorities
  • Sending water/fire/structural consultations out and processing the responses to these consultations
  • Generating and submitting Plans Certificates to local authorities/agents/clients
  • Following up on completion inspections/reminding clients of completion information requirements/time restrictions
  • Submitting extension of time letters / notices of cancellation to local authorities
  • Generating and submitting Final Certificates to local authorities/clients
